UO hosts Design Week Portland events

September 23, 2014

UO in Portland is hosting weeklong series of interactive events, installations, and conversations showcasing the evolving state of design as part of the citywide series, Design Week Portland. Events are open to the public and especially welcoming to prospective students of all ages.

New this year is an informal information session on Sunday, October 5, about the ten academic programs of the School of Architecture and Allied Arts. Geared for high school students and their families looking at college choices, the event will include overview of programs, application process, and the importance of education in the arts, architecture, planning, and design. This is especially timely for students looking for college programs to begin in fall 2015.

The University of Oregon’s Portland location in Old Town Chinatown is a dynamic epicenter of vital creativity with students, faculty and staff members embracing and engaging Portland’s unique culture.  Join us for some or all of these Design Week Portland events.

Events are at the University of Oregon Portland in the White Stag Block, 70 NW Couch, Portland, Oregon 97209, except for the lecture by Gordon Gill that is at Ecotrust Building. For more information please email aaapdx@uoregon.edu, or call 503-412-3718, or visit designweekportland.com.
