College of Design Faculty Members Receive Promotions, Tenure

The University of Oregon has promoted six College of Design faculty members for 2017–18. The promotion and tenure process involves rigorous review, so receiving them reflects significant achievements.

In what could be called an art exhibit triptych, Amanda Wojick, associate professor and coordinator of the sculpture program at the School of Art + Design at the University of Oregon, has pieces on display in three states this month—New York, Illinois, and Oregon.

Globally renowned art critic to present talks in Eugene and Portland, tour Oregon artist studios

Jan Verwoert will offer public presentations in November and visit 15-20 Oregon artists in their studios. Based in Europe, he’s the first international visitor to join in Connective Conversations. The program is a partnership between The Ford Family Foundation, the University of Oregon, and four other academic institutions that brings professional critics and curators to the Northwest for one-on-one studio visits and community conversations.
