Hope Duhaime / Bias Vomit
In abstracting an image its content and meaning are stripped and replaced with a combination of subliminal thoughts and geometrical expression. With impulsive reactions I push strong colors together to play within empty spaces and create something for the viewer to navigate endlessly.
Abstraction came inadvertently through repetitive drawings, transferring from reality exactly what my eye captures, slowly breaking down the human biases and meanings I've assigned these shapes over time. I practice being a computer, regurgitating numbers without thought. In abstraction there is an expression of my subconscious that I am constantly chasing the origin of.
