Willow Haskins-Dahl is a Product Design student at the University of Oregon with a focus on inclusive, human-centered design. Her work explores the intersection of aesthetics, functionality, and emotional wellbeing—often through material exploration and storytelling. Willow’s capstone reflects her interest in wearable solutions for sensory sensitivities, combining her love of sewing with a desire to create meaningful, comforting garments. When she’s not in the studio, she finds inspiration outdoors—hiking, foraging, or sketching in the sun. She’s driven by curiosity, care, and a belief that good design should feel as natural as the things we reach for every day.

Sensori is a capstone that investigates how fashion can better serve individuals with sensory processing sensitivities by introducing a modular jacket designed for comfort and adaptability. The garment features calming textures, adjustable pressure zones, weighted elements, and a timeless silhouette, offering both physical relief and a sense of ease in overstimulating environments. Balancing function and aesthetics, the design supports users in feeling grounded without drawing unwanted attention. By integrating sensory-friendly features into everyday wear, the project challenges the idea that functional clothing must sacrifice style, aiming instead for a quiet confidence that respects both the needs and preferences of its wearer.
