Seventeen Seniors Take Salone by Storm

This week, 17 seniors in the School of Art + Design’s Product Design program are displaying their work at Salone del Mobile Milano in Italy. Especially noteworthy is that this is the second time that students from the College of Design have been invited to participate in this prestigious international design and furnishing show.

At the University of Oregon, Product Design students learn thoughtful, intuitive design through careful material choice and manufacturing methods. They are taught to consider form, craftsmanship, user interaction, and aesthetic value. These projects are a compilation of senior works classified as either home goods or furniture. Each product was carefully developed to pay close attention to the users it interacts with and its surrounding environment.

Read their story and see their beautiful work.
